Conference venue change AND new partnership AND new member

admin
ICAS Oceania

There is a lot happening in the Oceania chapter right now!

We are happy to announce that we will now be holding the 2015 Oceania conference at the Victorian Trades Hall, 53 Victoria St, Carlton. The Trades Hall has a long history of supporting not just union struggles, but various intersectional movements.

We are also happy to announce that the ICAS Oceania Conference has joined with Minding Animals as a partner event. Four of our collective members attended the Minding Animals conference in Delhi earlier this year. This fantastic conference was a great example of bringing various struggles together. We decided that a joint venture would be a way to forge stronger relationships.

Finally, we are really excited to announce our new collective member, Naty Guerrero-Diaz. Naty is one of the founders of an intersectional animal sanctuary and she co-owns a vegan cafe in Melbourne. ICAS Oceania is very happy to have her on our collective.

Keep promoting the conference, and don’t forget to register!
