The first Institute for Critical Animal Studies Conference in Africa will be happening on the 31st of August and 1st of September at UCT in Cape Town.
This will be a two day conference focusing on the intersections between critical animal studies and other fields; scholars, activists, interest groups and interested members of the public are invited. As well as sharing perspectives and research projects, we will seek to explore two key practical questions: how do we reach other interested people in Africa and what actions should follow our conference?
The conference will take the form of presentations of research, special lectures and special interest presentations with discussion groups.
